Had to return 2 purchases because they worked adequately as players but not as alarm clocks. I wanted to sleep to audiobooks or podcasts and wake to music, and I needed both iPod and CD capabilities, which is surprisingly hard to find. Finally found this product, which works great as a CD player, iPod player and alarm clock. It's nice to hear actual bass coming from your clock radio. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the price. Too high. There's a USB port as well, which I plan on experimenting with to see if I can play my computer through it when I'm watching Hulu in bed on my laptop. :-) Customer Review 2 : Works very well for my purposes... - DDLeffers - Ontario, Canada Wanted to have a clock radio that would also work as an iPod dock, could not believe how poor the sound quality was on the iHome and a few Sony products so decided to move up in price a little. Very happy that I did. The sound quality is infinitely better and the look is much nicer. I am actually more impressed with little things that I didn't know that it did when I purchased it, like the gradual increase in volume when the alarm goes off so that it is not jarring and the gradual dimming of the display when the room lights go down making it less bright for sleeping. A very nice product, only 4 stars because it is a little expensive for what it is.
